HOW DO I CONVERT A FILE?

Click the ship in the menu bar. Drop your files on the window (or click CHOOSE FILES), then click a crystal. The converted file is saved next to the original and shown in the Finder.

WHY IS A FORMAT GREYED OUT?

That format can't be made from this file without breaking the app's quality rules, or the file is already in it. Hold the pointer over the crystal: the screen says why.

WILL MY VIDEO LOSE QUALITY?

Format Fighter always uses the best quality each format allows. Choose About Quality… in the ship's menu (right click on the ship) for every rule in plain words.

THE APP ASKS FOR A FOLDER. WHY?

macOS keeps App Store apps in a sandbox. To save files next to the originals, the app needs your permission once for a folder (for example, your home folder).

I BOUGHT IT ON ANOTHER Mac.

Right click on the ship and choose Restore Purchases…, or use RESTORE PURCHASES on the INSERT COIN screen. Use the same Apple Account. Family Sharing works too.

HOW DO I TURN OFF THE SOUND?

Right click on the ship and untick Sound.
